I'll apologise up front as this posting is quite long but I needed to go over a lot of ground and explain some fundamental biology as well. But please persevere and read through as it will tell you everything you need to know and where to go from here to achieve your hearts desire - that baby boy or baby girl want so much

Some Fundamental Biology
Most adults will know how to make a baby – but not everyone knows exactly how a baby is made and many may not know how specifically a baby boy or girl is made.
Without wanting to decry anyone's level of knowledge I will explain the basics of conception. To create a new baby a single sperm from a man must enter into an egg (ovum) from a woman. This is the moment of conception, and at this point the egg is referred to as fertilized and cell doubling will begin which will eventually result in someone's beautiful new son or daughter.
Chromosomes
Ok, this is where it gets slightly more complex! All (healthy) human beings have 46 chromosomes, or more precisely, 23 chromosome pairs. It is these chromosomes that make each individual who they are. We are moving into DNA discussions here but I want to keep to the biology and avoid genetics in this particular discussion.
Every single cell in the human body has a copy of the 46 chromosomes and every time a cell reproduces (or more accurately "replicates") it passes on a copy of the chromosomes to the new cell and as long as that keeps happening successfully then all is well. So you can see that all the information to make a new human is contained in one cell - the 46 chromosomes.
These chromosomes define everything about an individual such as height, ear size, eye colour and even susceptibility to diseases and of course whether you are a boy or a girl.
The Sex Chromosomes
One particular chromosome pair (called the sex chromosome for obvious reasons) defines your gender. The pair can either be XX, in which case you are a girl, or XY when you would be a boy.
Mother Natures Little Trick
Now this where mother nature gets clever. When reproductive cells (sperm or ovum) are produced the cells do not pass on a complete copy of the 46 chromosomes. They split the chromosome pairs and pass on only one half of each pair i.e. 23 chromosomes. So, if you are a girl when the sex chromosome pair splits (XX) the new ovum will always get an X. However if you are a boy when your sex chromosome (XY) splits the new sperm may get either an X or a Y. Sperm are generally referred to as male or female depending on which half of the XY pair they inherit.
In Summary
So putting all that together we now see that all ovums have an X chromosome but sperm can have either X or Y. When the sperm then enters the ovum the new combination of the 23 chromosomes from each define the characteristics of the new baby. In the case of the sex chromosome it will now be either an XX (girl) or XY (boy) decided only by the X or Y half of the chromosome pair that it gained from the sperm. So in short male sperms make boys and female sperms make girls.
What Do I Need To Do To Conceive The Baby I Desire?

How Does That Help Me?
So you might now think that this means the female has no part in the gender selection but you would be entirely wrong. You see, what Landrum Shettles discovered at Columbia University was that the male sperm and the female sperm exhibit completely different
characteristics in their performance and journey to fertilize the ovum. He showed that the male sperm was smaller and could swim faster than the female sperm but was generally much shorter lived. The female sperm, on the other hand, was a slow but strong swimmer and was long lived.
So basically if it was a short dash to the ovum then the male sperm would win and a baby boy would be the result. If the journey was a long one, or the sperm arrived before the ovum was fertile, then the female sperm would outlive and out perform the male sperm and a girl would be created.
Shettles further discovered that ph or acidity levels affected the performance of the male and female sperms differently and so by manipulating the acidity in the vagina and cervix at the time of conception you would favour either male or female sperm.
By taking a practical approach and creating the correct environment that favours the life span, speed, and ph effect of a particular sperm type you can dramatically increase your chances of having a baby of your chosen gender. Estimates from Shettlers' and later tests suggest as much as 95% success rate using his methods.
It is just not possible to go into every detail in a short blog report like this. The details and practices required to ensure the best chances of conceiving a baby of your chosen gender need to be well understood and exact. To that end you will need to study one of the more modern adaptations of Shettles' methods such as Ashley Spencer's book that we recommend on this web page. We can however cover some fundamentals.
Ovulation
Firstly it is imperative to get an accurate prediction of ovulation. there are various methods that can be used in conjunction to chart this so that accurate prediction can be made some days ahead.
PH Management
The next step is make some minor modifications to your diet to encourage either a higher or lower ph (depending on your preferred gender) in the vagina and cervix. This has to peak at the time of ovulation so as to give either the male of female sperm the advantage.
Timing and Position
The next steps are down to timing and sexual position. As male sperms are fast and short lived it is to their advantage to be deposited as near to the ovum as possible and at the time of ovulation or immediately after. Therefore a sexual position that facilitates deep penetration at the exact time of ovulation gives the male sperm a significant advantage.

Conversely to give the advantage to the long living female sperm intercourse should take place a few days prior to ovulation. Likewise a sexual position with shallow penetration that deposits the sperm further from the cervix gives the advantage to the female sperm.
Of course to maximise the advantage of any selected gender abstinence or suitable contraception during the 'advantage period' of the opposite gender is absolutely imperative.
Of course not everything is down to the woman in this endeavour. There are also a number of things that the man should do to maximise the advantage of the chosen sperm type. For instance caffeine is known to agitate male sperm so a stiff coffee immediately before, or abstinence depending on the
requirement, will help with your desired result.
